It's Official...although there are a few touch-ups and several small projects still to complete, we are OPEN!!! YEA!! We never thought this day would come. Because of the extensive love and labor we have devoted to opening this new space for all of you (okay and maybe for us too)..ha!... we have fallen a tad bit behind. Therefore we are sharing just one for now! Promise more to come!!

We are nearing the downhill slide to completing out new studio. My best guess would be another 4 weeks or so. I will keep all of you posted about the BIG OPEN HOUSE date once I know. My landlord is the most AWESOME person you could ever meet! Extremely involved in the community and very very giving. We went shopping the other day for lights, flooring, paint, fixtures...we joke about how we are still "together" after this experience....it's a bit like building a home with your spouse...except we don't seem to EVER disagree (which is nice). I wanted to introduce you to her new website before I go...

Well, after a few hold ups, we are, I would say, nearing the downhill slide. Things are moving along smoothly and quickly I must say. I took these pictures about a week ago and the place has changed sooo much I need to take more!
Here is a shot of where my sitting/waiting area will be. You can also see the electrical is finished on the ceiling, now just need to hang the fixtures.
This is a shot in the back workroom of the brick we are exposing. We (I think) at this point have decided to leave the top plastered and run a long ledge shelf at the base so I can display frames. I might put a quote up there... or who knows...maybe it will all be brick. The bathroom is directly behind this, so clients will come into this area.
Here a slightly updated pic of the front room looking out towards the front of the studio. Look at how dusty those hardwoods are!!! We knocked all the plaster off of the wall to the right... Looks so good! Waiting area is to the left.
This is NOT my studio, but I love the colors involved. I am having such a HARD time deciding. I would love some help!

So..here it is! We have the place torn apart.. literally! Plaster is all over from knocking down the walls to expose brick, the flooring is being torn up down to the hardwoods, a new duct system is being installed. This is an old historic building downtown, it was most recently a floral shop. Notice the floral coolers on the right, those are gone and that is where my reception area will be. The long wall on the left will have large prints with track lighting. There is a viewing/ordering area behind to the right ...that is where my chandelier is going. The front window is so awesome from the outside...it will have two large prints with lighting to start...options are endless here.
I will get some construction pics soon, but here is one showing the front area from the inside. There is a back room that will eventually be for printing and framing. It is also where the bathroom/dressing room is.
We are planning on being open for business sometime this Spring! We will keep you posted.

This is going to be my waiting area...the "roof" is gone and it is a much larger space now.
